Tyre damage means missing their big moment

Unless it doesn´t

Self supporting runflat tires will keep you on the road for up to 80 km.

Self Supporting Runflat tyres keep rolling, so you can arrive safely

On sports day, there’s a million things to think of: Are the kids ready? Have you packed all the equipment they need, the snacks they want and the change of clothes that will probably be required? How many family members are riding with you and do you need to run any errands along the way? Most importantly, will you make it on time?

The one thing you don’t want to think about: your car breaking down on the way there. With self-supporting runflat tyres, you can rely on your four wheels to get you to your destination on time. In case of a puncture, the reinforced sidewall isn’t crushed between the rim and the road, so the tyre won’t break down. Once you know that you can drive another 50 miles / 80km, even on a punctured tyre, you can stop worrying about the journey and focus on getting everyone into the car and to the event on time.

Benefits of self supporting runflat technology

Runflat Technology

A puncture prevents you from cheering them on. Unless it doesn´t

Our self supporting runflat tyres are compatible with all standard rims. Thanks to a specially designed reinforced sidewall, they can keep rolling at a speed of 50mph / 80km/h for 50 miles / 80km after being punctured. That means you don’t have to pull over to call for help or change a tyre. Instead, you can reach your destination safely and deal with the punctured tyre whenever it suits you.

Self-supporting runflat tyres don’t just give you peace of mind, they also add up to 80 litres of free space to your boot. Because you no longer need a spare tyre, you can fit even more into the back of your car.

Every tyre is the same. Unless it isn´t

If you’re in charge of getting a busy family organised, you’ll know that everything that can go wrong, will go wrong – especially when time is of the essence. A missing shoe, a crying child or a dawdling sibling are chaotic enough, without adding any more major disasters.

That’s why we came up with the self supporting runflat technology that makes sure you reach your destination, no matter what obstacles life throws in your way. With a normal tyre, you could break down on the side of the road on the way to an important event. You would have to change the tyre or wait for roadside assistance. With self supporting runflat tyres, you can keep driving and deal with the puncture later. Because you can rely on your four wheels to get you there safely, a spare tyre is no longer necessary.

Frequently asked questions

How does self-supporting runflat tyre technology work?
A specially designed reinforced sidewall supports the tyre in the event of a puncture and loss of air. This prevents the sidewall from being crushed between the rim and the road, and the tyre from slipping off the rim.

How do I drive with self-supporting runflat tyres?
The technology has no impact on the driving experience or the handling of your car under normal circumstances. You must, however, have a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) is recommended.

How should I act after a self-supporting runflat tyre is punctured?
You can continue driving for 50 miles / 80km at a maximum speed of 50mph / 80km/h after a tyre is punctured. It isn‘t necessary to stop for a tyre change or call roadside assistance, but you should have the tyre checked by a specialist as soon as possible to prevent further damage.

How can I find tyres with self-supporting runflat technology?
The technology was developed especially for low section tyres, which are compatible with all standard rims. They are mounted, changed and used like any standard equipment tyres. You can find all our self-supporting runflat tyres on our website or choose from a selection below.
